Rep. Walle Invited to White House for Child Care Discussions


On Sept. 27, Rep. Armando Walle attended the White House's State Convening on Child Care. This event brought together leaders from across the country to discuss solutions for the ongoing child care crisis and share innovative strategies to support working families. Rep. Walle's participation underscores his commitment to advocating for affordable, high-quality child care solutions in Texas, aligning with national efforts to address this critical issue.


Last Session, Rep. Walle fought for a $2.3 billion investment in the state budget to stabilize child care funding across the state. Although this funding did not make it into the final version of the state budget, Rep. Walle continues to work on potential solutions or funding opportunities to address this crisis during the next Legislative Session.

Bellmar Civic Club, Rep. Walle Speak Out Against Rising Water Rates for Undine Customers at Town Hall


On Sept. 10, Rep. Walle held a town hall with Bellmar Civic Club, Undine LLC and the Public Utility Commission of Texas to listen to constituent concerns about rising water bills. The issue dates back to Undine LLC’s acquisition of a different utility provider in the Bellmar and Northline Neighborhoods. Affected residents strongly voiced their opposition to and concerns about the increasing costs for water. During the meeting, Undine proposed gradually implementing the rate increase over a three-year period to spread out the financial impact over time.


Rep. Walle is working closely with the the Public Utility Commission to hold Undine accountable to its proposal, and urge immediate action to provide residents relief. In the meantime, residents should contact the District Office at (281) 442-2206 to report concerns.
