Rep. Armando Walle Named House Appropriations Subcommittee Chair of Articles VI, VII & VIII

(Austin, TEXAS) –  Today, Rep. Armando Walle was named the Subcommittee Chair of Articles VI, VII & VIII on the House Appropriations Committee. This is Rep. Walle’s third term as the chair of these articles, which cover natural resources, business and economic development and regulatory agencies.

Rep. Armando Walle released the following statement in response:

“I am grateful to Dr. Greg Bonnen and Speaker Dustin Burrows for the opportunity to again serve as the subcommittee chair of these articles. By working with my colleagues across the aisle and in both chambers last session, we were able to bring home critical infrastructure funding for House District 140 and for all Texans. 

“I will push for meaningful investments this Session in flood management and water demand planning, air quality and child care. I intend to deliver for Houston, Harris County and all Texans across the state. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow subcommittee members and supporting their priorities, too. 

“Together, we will write a budget that updates aging infrastructure, supports job creation and improves quality of life for all Texas families.”
