Rep. Armando Walle Named House Appropriations Subcommittee Chair on Articles VI, VII & VIII
(Austin, TEXAS) – Today, Rep. Armando Walle (HD 140) was named the House Appropriations Subcommittee Chair on Articles VI, VII & VIII, which covers natural resources, business and economic development and regulatory agencies. Rep. Walle was also appointed chair of the same subcommittee in the 87th Legislative Session.
Rep. Walle released the following statement in response:
“I am grateful to Dr. Bonnen for again naming me the chair of such an important cross-section of the budget. This session we have billions of dollars in surplus revenue and a deep pocket of federal funds to pull from.
“This will be a biennium for large investments in lasting infrastructure that will improve our state for generations of Texans to come. I look forward to the opportunity to guide this effort, and to put Texans’ hard-earned tax dollars back into our communities.”
