Rep. Armando Walle Files Bill to Create Billion-Dollar Endowment for Texas State Parks

STATEMENT

(TEXAS) – Today, Rep. Armando Walle (HD 140) filed House Bill 4177, which would create a permanent endowment within the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to foster the long-term expansion and creation of state parks.

Rep. Walle released the following statement on the legislation:

“Our state parks bring our communities together. Everyone should have access to safe and well-maintained outdoor spaces for kids to play, families to explore and all Texans to have a place to get away.

“By creating this endowment, we are making a promise to every Texan that our government will invest in the creation and preservation of our natural heritage for generations to come.”
